Festival of Light - Diwali

This cake was made for a Diwali party and inspired by the art of kolam designing.

I was inspired by bakeat350 to make my own coloured sugar.

I started with some sugar and a drop of colouring



Shake it around a bit ...


After a lot more vigorous shaking !!!!!! ( also breaking up some of the clumped bits with a spoon)


And the other colours .....



This is my interpretation on a cake.
